Facts

  • Originally planed to be built on the site of the Millenia Centre, it was then the largest property to be sold by the Urban Redevelopment Authority, covering over 3.5 million square feet, with the top winning bid made by Indonesian banker Hendra Rahardja.
  • The winner of the design competition, Anthony J. Lumsden & Associates, originally envisaged a triple hotel complex rising 72-, 63- and 10-storeys high, but the 72-storey tower was later scaled down to 51 storeys.
