  • The Walbrook Square scheme occupies a 1.5 hectare site formerly occupied by Bucklersbury House, Temple Court and three smaller buildings built largely in the 1960s.
  • The scheme has a gross external floor area of 133,880sq m, comprising 81,294sq m net office space and 8,793sq m net retail and restaurant space.
  • The remains of the Roman Temple of Mithras, currently located on Queen Victoria Street, are to be returned to their original location, within a publicly accessible exhibition space underneath Walbrook Square at the heart of the site.
  • The scheme includes space for 50 cars, 180 motorcycles and 552 bicycles.
  • The architectural company charged with the project's design is a partnership between the world-class architectural practices of London's Foster + Partners and Paris' Ateliers Jean Nouvel.
  • The complex features pedestrian streets and a central square.
  • Sustainable measures include rainwater harvesting, ground water cooling and photovoltaic electricity generation.
  • The development has a BREEAM rating of 'excellent'.
