Barnett Bank Center Huntington Bank Center Gold Bank Plaza M&I Bank Plaza
This mixed-use development was originally planned to consist of two office towers, a hotel, and parking garage. Barnett Bank signed on to take the first tower as their new headquarters. The hotel was planned as a 254-room Radisson Plaza.
Construction of the first office tower was nearly completed in 1985 when the developer ran into financial problems. The property would sit vacant for years until Barnett Bank purchased the unfinished building in 1988 for $10.2 million from Citicorp, the court-appointed receiver in the case.
The southwestern portion of the block would later become the One Palm development which also incorporated the parking garage.
