Facts

  • Phase 1 of Paddington Basin consisted of three residential buildings at West End Quay, which completed in 2004. Phase 2 consisted of two office buildings; Waterside and The Point, which completed in 2003, and The Winding which has yet to begin construction. Phase 3, which is partly underway, consists of the Grand Union Building and Paddington Walk. The entire project should be completed by 2005/6.
  • The Paddington Basin project, developed by Chelsfield plc., is one of the largest and most high profile urban regeneration projects in Europe. The end result will be a new urban quarter with connections to neighbouring projects including PaddingtonCentral, the Hilton London Metropole and Paddington Station.
