West Palm Beach is a city in and the county seat of Palm Beach County, Florida. It's separated from neighboring Palm Beach by the Lake Worth Lagoon. West Palm Beach was developed by Henry Flagler as a commercial and residential area to support the winter resort community of Palm Springs. Incorporated in 1894, the city grew to become the leading metropolitan and governmental center for Palm Beach County.
