Laughlin is a census-designated place and unincorporated community located on the Colorado River, across from Bullhead City and 94 miles (152.3 km) south of Las Vegas. The city was originally founded by Don Laughlin in 1966 with the completion of his Riverside Casino. Today, the city ranks third among Nevada cities in gaming revenue (after Las Vegas and Reno). In addition to gambling, visitors can enjoy boating and fishing on the Colorado River.
