Sun City is at the extreme western end of Texas along the Rio Grande. The rugged mountains and terrain give the city a true ‘western’ look and feel. Visitors can take the Wyler Aerial Tramway, just outside the city in Franklin Mountains State Park, up to Ranger Peak for amazing views of the city. Although divided by an international border, when combined with Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, the two cities create a much larger regional economy. The crossings along the Rio Grande have become one of the busiest in the world. With its beautiful surroundings and over 300 days of sunshine every year, it is no wonder the city is one of the fastest growing in the nation. It is also the largest metropolitan area between Phoenix and San Antonio.
