  • The Palms Building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
  • The Fillmore Detroit was closed from June to October 2018 to undergo theater restorations.
  • The theater was originally the State Theatre upon opening. It operated as the State-Palms Theatre from 1937 to 1949, when it was renamed the Palms Theatre. In 1982 it was again called the State Theatre before becoming The Fillmore Detroit in 2007.
