Facts

  • The origins of the cathedral are a small church destroyed by Al-Manur in 925.
  • The wide square in front of the Gothic Cathedral was created after the Spanish Civil War, destroying a narrow street and many small buildings.
  • The works of the actual building started in 1298, but it wasn't until the XIX century when it was finished by Josep Oriol Mestres and August Font i Carreras following some XIV century draws. That last works were to finish the facade.
