Facts

  • This is the tallest residential building in the city and state.
  • Originally envisioned as a 38-story mixed-use office building and hotel designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture.
  • The developer asked Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture to reimagine it as an all-residential building. The 60-story tower would have risen to 750 feet and been the city's tallest.
  • The current proposal calls for a 45-story residential tower designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz.
  • The residential units will consist of 350 apartment units on the lower levels and 193 condominium units on the top 15 floors.
  • 505 was topped out on Thursday, May 18, 2017.
  • Although the AT&T Building is technically taller with its twin spires, 505 has a higher roofline and visually appears as the tallest building in the city.
